JEDDAH — The Indian Engineers Forum (IEF) Jeddah Chapter organized a PMP training course for members as part of their continual growth program. The training was conducted for six days at the corporate office of MAYTAS INFRA, an Indian-based company from Hyderabad affiliated with Saudi Binladin Group. Chief Guest of the event Head of Chancery Raghib Qureshi presented the certificates. He said: “Engineers are constantly challenged with technical and philosophical concerns in this fast-paced society. To meet these challenges engineers always need to refine themselves, redefine their capabilities and be prepared to meet the global challenges.” He appreciated the role of IEF for conducting such technical programs to help member engineers of the forum. Farooq Qureshi, internationally renowned PMP trainer, who has trained hundreds of professionals worldwide, congratulated the attendees for successfully completing the course. He said:”PMP certification will definitely enhance their capabilities with respect to specific competencies.” He further said that this enables the certified individual to use tools and techniques to improve processes in any field of professionalism. Participants also appreciated Qureshi's teaching methodology. Some participants were of the view that they should have taken this training in the beginning of their careers, which would have helped them a lot in their long professional careers. They advised young engineers to take this training as soon as possible in their career. Executive Manager of Maytas Infra Engr Syed Fayaz Ahmed appreciated the IEF's contribution in the engineers professional development, and acknowledged Qureshi. President IEF Mohammed Sayeeduddin said that the feedback from attendees regarding PMP session is really overwhelming. He also encouraged fellow members to come forward and enhance skills through trainings, workshops, seminars and other resources provided by IEF. “IEF plans to continue to organize more trainings and workshops in near future.” The program started with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Qur'an by Engr Ibrahim Khaleel, while general secretary Syed Nasir Khursheed anchored the program.
