Three huge television screens are to be erected at the holy sites to help families and authorities locate people who go missing among the millions who converge during the pilgrimage season. Two of the screens will be located near Jamarat Bridge and the other at the Missing Children Center in Mina. “If the trial proves to be a success then it will be expanded in years to come,” said Othman Al-Mu'taaz, Director of the Haj Service Administration at the Ministry of Haj. Every year an estimated 25,000 pilgrims and 200 children go missing from loved ones or lose their way among the vast pilgrimage crowds.
