JEDDAH – The first edition of Saudi Arabia's Health & Beauty Show 2014 was inaugurated on Tuesday by Joelle Mardinian, renowned TV personality, prominent make-up artist and leading beauty expert in the Middle East. Organized by Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions and powered by interCHARM, a leading event for professional cosmetics and equipment industries in Europe. The four-day exhibition, co-located alongside the Saudi International Sport and Fitness Show, at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events concludes today (Nov. 27), providing a platform for health and beauty businesses to tap into Saudi Arabia's SR60 billion cosmetics market.
Featuring Maison De Joelle and presenting over a 100 exhibitors, Saudi Health and Beauty Show 2014 showcases local, regional and international health and beauty brands from the cosmetics, fragrance, pharmaceutical and medical spa industries, as well as focusing on all elements of the health and beauty market— spa, wellness, health centers, beauty salons, and education and training providers. Having attracted participation from international names, some of the exhibiting brands include Tigi Bead Head, Keratin Revolution, Yves Rocher, Bourjois, Dermacol, Unilever, Wella, Imedeen, Claude Maxime, Xenical, Janssen Cosmetics and Jean Louis David. Commenting on the show, John Hooke-Tappin, Show Director at Reed Sunaidi, said: “The potential of the beauty and wellness market in the Kingdom is immense, with affluent and beauty conscious women spending an average of $3,800 per year on cosmetics. By providing a platform for businesses to engage with each other and with potential consumers, the exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to learn about new brands, products, services and treatments, to engage in open dialogue with professional health and wellness consultants and surgeons, and to attend live demonstrations by leading brands and beauty experts.” — SG
