THE first-ever India-focused luxury wellness exhibition and seminars platform opens in Dubai today (Wednesday) with the participation of 20 high-end wellness brands and therapy providers offering a slew of packages for wellness through rejuvenation, holistic healing and prevention and reversal of lifestyle diseases.
Organized by Dubai-based HNI-Luxury consultants Globuzz, the debut edition of Royal India Wellness 2014 Exhibition will take place at Jumeirah Beach Hotel and is expected to draw over 3,500 visitors over its three day run, daily from 11 a.m. to 8 pm. The gross exhibition space of 1,050 square meters will be shared among others by Soukya, CGH Earth, Raviz, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, Ranjit's Svaasa, Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre, Kairali Ayurvedic Resort, Ananda – in the Himalayas and Kerala Tourism. Gayathri Bhardwaj, founder and Managing Director of Globuzz, said: “Royal India Wellness is a focused initiative to connect High Net worth Individuals (HNIs) of UAE, Arabian Gulf and Middle East countries to the top high-end Indian wellness brands, therapy services and medical facilities. We aim to facilitate and explore potential trade opportunities to create nodal wellness platforms within the region.”
Unveiling details of the unique wellness expertise and knowledge sharing platform at a press conference, she said the selected exhibitors will be unveiling a slew of packages focused on modern day needs like rejuvenation, holistic healing, prevention and reversal of lifestyle diseases, age reversal, stress reduction and smart balancing of body, mind and soul.
An estimated 3,500 visitors from across the UAE and GCC region are expected to attend the exhibition which will offer wellness therapy introductions, consultations and product experience lounges in addition to a series of seminars on luxury wellness, clinical and holistic healing from eminent consultants, therapists and medical authorities. Experts say as more people embrace overall healthier lifestyles, these behaviors translates and gets integrated into their travel and vacation habits. For others, vacation provides an escape from the sedentary, unhealthy and busy lifestyles. As these two trends converge, many people commit their vacation time and money to wellness travel, as evidenced by their increased spending with India accounting for a substantial global market share.
A SRI International Study projects India to be number one globally for growth in Wellness Tourism over the next five years, clocking over 20 per cent gains annually through 2017. Wellness travel is a $439 billion industry worldwide within the $3.2 trillion global tourism industry, representing 14 percent of all tourism spending. Spa experiences, opportunities for personal growth, yoga and meditation, fitness, stress reduction and holistic health are among the experiences sought by wellness travelers, according to Global Wellness Tourism Economy Report 2013. India expects a double-digit growth in foreign tourist arrivals from Middle Eastern countries this year.
At the show, visitors are encouraged to interact with the exhibitors and consider quality personalized therapies relevant to their overall well-being. Such Wellness consultations will also enable individuals to take increased responsibility for their physical and mental health behaviors. Royal India Wellness exhibition has been specifically designed to motivate the desire for rejuvenation, healthy quality of life, disease management through holistic healing, stress reduction and smartly balancing mind, body and soul. – SG
