NEW YORK — Bobby Ryan scored the only goal in the shootout, lifting the Ottawa Senators to a 3-2 win over the St Louis Blues Tuesday.
Robin Lehner stopped all three St Louis (14-6-2) shots in the shootout from T.J. Oshie, Alexander Steen and Vladimir Tarasenko.
Ottawa (9-7-4) sent the game to overtime with two goals in the third period, including the tying goal by Alex Chiasson with 41 seconds to play.
Predators 4, Kings 3 (SO)
James Neal scored the shootout's only goal in the sixth round as Nashville beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-3.
Los Angeles evened the score at 3-3 only 38 seconds into the third period on a classic end-to-end rush by defenseman Drew Doughty, who finished the sequence with a 32-foot wrist shot for his second goal.

Tyler Seguin scored twice and defenseman John Klingberg had a goal and an assist as the Dallas Stars defeated the Edmonton Oilers 3-2.

Avalanche 4, Coyotes 3 (OT) Colorado center Daniel Briere was credited with the game-winning goal in overtime when his centering pass bounced off Arizona center Martin Hanzal and into the goal to give the Avalanche an overtime victory over the Coyotes.
Hanzal was attempting to clear the puck in front of the net but instead put it between the legs of goaltender Mike Smith as the Avalanche (8-9-5) overcame a 3-0 deficit for their fourth victory in five games. — Reuters
