With regard to the article “Student dies after manhole fall” (Nov. 18), manholes on the streets of our cities are the responsibility of the government and officials should be punished for leaving manholes uncovered which can lead to fatal accidents. All manholes should be covered and marked properly so that people can be warned of any danger. Now, there is another victim. What is going on? If these incidents happened in a poor African country, we might be able to understand, but in Saudi Arabia such repeated incidents are unforgivable.
