Driver hurt as car falls into construction ditch

RANYAH — A car fell into a ditch in Ranyah just before Maghreb prayers Tuesday, police and Civil Defense said. The accident seriously injured the driver, who was admitted to Ranyah General Hospital. The ditch is part of a water project, but the contractor neglected to put up warning signs. The accident occurred because visibility was very low due to a sandstorm that hit the area at the time. Police asked the contractor to put up warning signs.
