MADINAH — An increasing number of Saudis are volunteering to prevent rumors from spreading on social networking sites by finding out the truth and publishing it. As new media tools emerged, many believed it will take over the traditional forms of media. However, many users are reconsidering their decision after discovering that these sites are spreading false information harmful to society. Many sites publish news and photos with weak credibility or wrong information.
