Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) recently organized a function for KAFEEF Society to celebrate the achievements of visually impaired girls. The event, titled “Joy of Success”, was held at the Prince Salman Social Center in Riyadh and attended by female employees from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Al-Nour Institute and KAFEEF Society. SABIC organized the event as part of its commitment to support this important segment of society. About 200 girls participated in the function, receiving congratulation cards from SABIC that featured the following message inscribed in Braille: “SABIC would like to share with you the joy of success”. The ceremony highlighted the creative talents of the participating girls. It included a number of interactive quizzes along with a recitation of poems composed by the girls. The function also included a play performed by the girls that highlighted challenges blind people need to overcome to communicate effectively with the community. The program concluded with a dinner and distribution of awards along with bouquet of roses. A free photography corner was available for the girls and their parents.
