Saudi Gazette report JAZAN — With the beginning of the summer vacation, hundreds of youths and families started flocking to the picturesque mountain regions in Jazan province. They prefer enjoying the beauty of pristine nature and spend relaxing for some time away from the hustle and bustle of city life as well as from high temperatures. The mountains, replete with breathtaking views, rugged terrain and oases, attract large numbers of tourists, picnickers and nature lovers. They spend long hours and sometimes even days, camping out near the greeneries, oases and waterfalls, Al-Watan newspaper reported. Hassan Kadoumi, a visitor to Lajab Valley in Al-Reeth region, said: “I used to visit the valley with my family and enjoy the real beauty and serenity of nature whenever we get fed up with the everyday pressures of life. I don't mind the cost or financial losses incurred because of such trips,” he said. Kadoumi said that he always returns to normal life in a relaxed mood after spending some time outside Jazan city on a mountainous spot. Hisham Zaila, a resident of Jazan city, said: “The extreme climatic conditions with high temperatures and humidity in the summer season force us to escape to highlands, especially Feefa Mountains, where we enjoy a pleasant and moderate weather and serene atmosphere. I usually take my family with me while going out to such places where we spend a number of days, enjoying picturesque scenes.” Zaila says he has no words to express the feelings of joy while passing through the valleys among the trees and aromatic plants. Abdul Aziz Abdu, a student, reached Dafa Valley in Jazan in the company of his classmates. “We undertook this fascinating trip immediately after the examination period. On reaching here, we found that this place is splendid and much nicer than what we had visualized,” he said. Abdu and friends left the place after spending two days. He has plans to visit the area again together with his family members.
