JEDDAH – Axiom has become the first mobile phone retailer in the Middle East to offer an innovative credit card on delivery payment option. The region's largest mobility retailer and distributor, axiom, has partnered with the UAE's leading financial institution, Mashreq, to provide a simple, convenient, secure and cost-effective mobile point-of-service (POS) solution. Customers in Dubai and Sharjah can now select the card on delivery option via www.axiomtelecom.com, and a representative will call confirming the order, location and time of delivery. axiom expects the payment option to prove particularly popular in conjunction with axiom's unique two-hour online delivery service in the UAE. Once the product is delivered, customers simply insert their Master Card or Visa credit cards into a Mashreq Payport device, and enter their pin or sign on the axiom courier's smartphone. The customer then receives a receipt via email. There are no extra charges, minimum purchase thresholds or requirements to enter sensitive information online. Additional customer benefits include zero percent easy-installment plans from leading banks. The solution is secure and compliant with industry security standards, with all mobile POS machine transactions fully encrypted. “axiom has a long history of innovating new approaches to customer service, so we are delighted to become the first mobile retailer in the region to offer this much in-demand payment system,” said Faisal Al Bannai, CEO, axiom. – SG
