Hassan Cheruppa Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The Jeddah Keralites Forum, an umbrella body of the Jeddah-based Keralite organizations, gave a farewell party to Kunhavutty A Qader, one of its founder leaders, who leaves the Kingdom for good. JKF Chairman P.T. Muhammad presided over the function. Leaders of several organizations delivered felicitation speeches. They included K.M. Sharif Kunju, K.P. Muhammad Kutty, V.K.A. Rauf, Abdul Majeed Naha, Prof. Rainolds Ittop, Mirza Sharif, Pazheri Kunhimuhammad, Shibu Thiruvananthapuram, K.T.A. Muneer, K.P. Abubacker, Sulfeekar Othai, Gopi Nedungadi, Salah Karadan, Hifsurahman, Saidalavi, Dileep Thamarakkulam, C.K Shakir, Usman Irumpuzhi, Abdurrab Pallikkal, K.V.A. Ghafour, Varghese Daniel, Ismail Neerad, Muhammadali Kotta, Ismail Thodupuzha, Zakeer Hussain Edavanna and Muhammadali Rawthar. JKF General Convener P.P. Raheem welcomed the gathering and Naser Shantapuram proposed the vote of thanks. The leaders presented him a memento. The speakers hailed Qader saying that his leadership qualities and selfless services have contributed the community tremendously. They commended his outspokenness, straight forwardness, courage in taking decisions, and unblemished personality. The speakers said that Qader carved a niche in the social and cultural life of expatriates as a unifying force of various organizations to join hands in serving public interests, and rendered outstanding services in the humanitarian field. In his speech, Qader, who served as chairman and general convener of JKF, thanked the Indian community in Jeddah for their wholehearted cooperation and support to him during his 26-year long life in the Kingdom. Qader is leaving the Kingdom after quitting his job as finance manager of Al-Amoudi Sports Center. He served as founder organizing secretary of Indian Muslim Cultural Center (IMCC), which is affiliated to Indian National League. He has been the president of IMCC Saudi national committee for 17 years. He also played an active role in the formation of Jeddah Haj Welfare Forum, an umbrella body of about 20 organizations for Haj voluntary service, and was elected as the Forum's founding general convener. Qader also held various leadership positions in community organizations, such as vice chairman of PSMO College alumni and president of Tanur Welfare Forum.
