JEDDAH – Khurram Karamat of Crown Steel with a ton, Waheed of Dopco Stars with 5 wickets, Rehan of Al-Kabbani with a hat trick and Mohammed Naeem of ATS with 97 excelled in the 11th week of the WPCA Summer League here recently.
Premier Summer
Crown Steel won against Hala Friends by 9 wickets. Hala Friends posted 160 for 7 through Abdullah Essa (66 in 37 balls), Wajahat Shah (36 not out) and Niaz (29). Manzoor claimed 2-15 and Ijaz 2-24, while one wicket each went to Waqas, Abuhuraira and Javed Iqbal.
Crown Steel responded with 163 for 1 in 92 balls as Khurram Karamat smashed an unbeaten 105 in 42 balls with 6 sixes and 9 boundaries. He first added 80 with Imran (17) and then 83 for the unbroken second wicket with Waqas Ausaf (33 not out). Bilal Khan took 1-20.
My Care Hala humbled IDB by 10 wickets. IDB, opting to bat against My Care Hala, crashed for 96 as Hussain Bhatti bamboozled bankers by taking 4-26, Jameel 3-24, while Adnan and Tariq Mehmood claimed one each. Khalid Butt scored 24.
My Care Hala hurried to the winning target by making 98 for no loss in 59 balls. Qamar Abbas blasted an unbeaten 58 and Moazzam Shoukat remained 31 not out.
Dopco Stars downed AOT by 25 runs. Dopco Stars piled up 185 as Afaq made 46 and Mazhar Abbasi 24. Faisal grabbed 3-48, Nasir Iqbal 2-30, Qaiser 2-28, Hisham 2-16 and Zeeshan one. AOT, in reply, was in trouble at 52 for 4 as Waheed bowled magnificently to take 5 for 25. However, Hisham hit 49, Naeem Shah 27, Zeeshan 29 not out and Abbas 25. AOT made 160 for 9. Asim claimed 2-29 and Khurram Haneef one.
Morning
ATS won against Stallions by 6 wickets. Stallions managed 163 for 9 through Hassan (39), Talha (24) and Waqas (32 not out). Tayyab grabbed 4 for 30, while Asif and Nabeel took 2 each. ATS reached 164 for 4 in 106 balls as Mohammed Naeem hammered an unbeaten 97 in 56 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes. Asif hit 43 as the duo added 84 runs.
Sadafco defeated Deloitte by 55 runs. Sadafco racked up 192 for 5. Asim compiled 78 in 49 balls as he first added 73 with Khurram (31) and then 80 with Tauseef (34). Deloitte succumbed to 137. Awais hit 40 and Asad 20. Iqbal Patel took 3 for 22.
My Care Hala Green thrashed ADI-XI by 6 wickets. ADI-XI was bundled out for 148. Farhan hammered 51, Kaleem 31, Daniel 20 and Omar Mehfooz 21. Rana picked up 2-35 and Nabeel 2-23. MCH Green took 70 balls to make 152 for 4 and remained undefeated in the Morning tournament. Sadiq scored 60 in 28 balls and Salman 51. The two added 115 for the first wicket. Azeem took 2-25 and Hassan 2-14.
Al-Kabbani trounced Jeddah Royals by 7 wickets. Jeddah Royals crumbled for 72 as Rehan claimed 4 wickets in his second over with a hat trick and Mohammed Ali took 2-3. Al-Kabbani reached 73 for 3 in 50 balls. Faraz hit 24. Imtiyaz took 2-19.
MQ Group surprised New Young Stars by 6 wickets. New Young Stars posted 147 for 8 through Asif (43) and Belal (20). Shakeel scalped 2-37 and Mohsin 2-28. MQ Group, in reply, made 152 for 4 in 91 balls. Munawwar hit an unbeaten 62 in 31 balls and Mohsin 29.
Mercedes Benz thrashed QRCC by 8 wickets. QRCC was bundled out for 123. Naseer top-scored with 34. Jawed took 3-18 and Furqan 2-24. Mercedes Benz reached 126 for 2 in 87 balls. Jabran compiled 52, Habeeb 26 and Ilyas 25 not out.
