Renault enters 2014 confidently, pursuing its growth strategy with 8 percent sales increase year-on-year across the GCC. Over the first three months in 2014, Renault Middle East posted a substantial rise of 18 percent in a Dubai & Northern Emirates market up by 14 percent year-on-year. Renault's strong performance across the Emirates was enhanced by the popularity of its shockingly affordable SUV Renault Duster and full range of passenger cars. In Saudi Arabia, compared to 2013, Renault's sales recorded 21 percent sales growth on a 5 percent market year-on-year. Over the first 2014 quarter, Renault remained, just as it did in 2013, the top European brand. Renault Fluence and Renault Duster are the two best-selling European models. In Qatar, following successful introduction of Renault Twizy at Qatar Motor Show, Renault recorded 10 percent sales growth over a 7 percent market increase. — SG
