JEDDAH — An educationist from the south Indian state of Karnataka will make a presentation for NRI parents at Lasani Restaurant in Aziziah district Saturday night. A true follower of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Abdul Qadeer has revolutionized education in Karnataka and neighboring regions, the event's organizers said. He is the founder secretary of Shaheen Group of Institutions, which runs a number of schools, colleges and hostels for both boys and girls in Bidar and Hyderabad. Syed Aneesuddin of Challenger Junior College will also attend. Raghib Quraishi, education consul at the Consulate General of India, will be the guest of honor. Aleem Khan Falaki, Dr. Ashfaq Maniyar and Naser Khursheed will deliver felicitation speeches. The function will start with dinner at 9 p.m.
