RIYADH — Round 6 of the Saudi ORIX T20 Cricket Tournament organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi ORIX Leasing Company saw thrilling encounters here recently.
In Al-Kharj Zone, Amir Holidays beat Yusafzayi Cricket Club by 24 runs. Batting first, Amir Holidays lost some early wickets but Sajid Saeed (80), Sami Arshad (52), Saeed (38) and Kamran (24) took the total to 207-9. Yusafzayi could manage only 183 in reply. Saeed and Arsalan picked up 3 wickets each.
In Huraymala Zone, Riyadh Warriors beat Indian Strikers by 7 wickets. Strikers put on 157. Shaikh and Shakeel picked up 2 wickets each. Warriors achieved the target for the loss of 3 wickets in 15.4 overs. Asif hit 77 and Abdulaziz 60.
AKCC edged Green Bangla by 3 runs. AKCC was all out for 150. Nadeem scored 47 and Kamran 44. Green Bangla was restricted to 147 in reply. Kamran, Nadeem, Jahangir and Sultan grabbed 2 wickets each.
In Riyadh Zone, Challengers-XI beat Kashmir-XI by 6 wickets. Kashmir-XI scored 153-9.
Thirumani bagged 5 wickets and Nisar 2. Challengers achieved the target for the loss of 4 wickets. Ihsan made 75, Samar 27 and Thirumani 22.
Grundfos thrashed Friends-XI by 45 runs. Grundfos scored 158. Tahir hit a quick-fire 45 and Alwi 23. Friends could score only 113. Ali, Yassir and Faheem claimed 2 wickets each.
Seham got the better of Hyderabad Sunrisers by 14 runs. Seham put on 179. Nasir (59) and Amjad (29) were among the runs. Hyderabad Sunrisers scored 165. Majid picked up 2 wickets.
TBCC humbled White Star CC by 100 runs. TBCC posted 235-5. Anish scored 69, Ashraf 69, Khader 36 and Shameem 24. White Star was bundled out for 135. Sahir picked up 3 wickets and Cherian 2.
Kingdom Warriors thumped Delhi Dare Devils by 5 wickets. Delhi Dare Devils scored 148. Shakir grabbed 4 wickets, while Farhan and Ateeq picked up 2 each. Kingdom Warriors were home for the loss of 5 wickets in 14.4 overs. Adil hit 55, Zeeshan 24 and Sameer 23.
Royal Strikers downed Riyadh Royals by 17 runs. Royal Strikers scored 178. Venu scored 24 and Fenil 22. Royals managed 161. Subair and Dileep took 3 wickets each, while Mithun got 2.
Tigers defeated Lusine by 29 runs. Tigers put on 189. Sailesh was the top-scorer with 73. Moazzam picked 3 wickets, while Hassan and Nirantha bagged 2 each. Lusine made 160 in reply. Basit scored 54 and Rustam 36. Arham picked 2 wickets. — SG
