JEDDAH – An Asian maid fell from the second floor of her sponsor's house while trying to run away from her employer, according to Makkah Police spokesman Lt. Col. Ati Al-Qurashi. She used a long piece of cloth as a rope to escape from the window, but the rope tore and causing her to fall. She suffered several fractures in the backbone and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Police opened an investigation to find out why the woman tried to run away.
