JEDDAH — Police in Jeddah apprehended a gang of six men and their woman leader who specialized in stealing sheep. Makkah Police spokesman Lt. Col. Atti Bin Attiyah Al-Qurashi said officers had received information that a stolen truck had been sighted. After investigating, they found the vehicle was making regular trips between two rest houses in south Jeddah. Police discovered that it was being used by six Arab expatriates and an Asian woman to transport stolen sheep. Al-Qurashi said about 249 animals were found in one of the rest houses. He said the owners of the sheep were called to identify their livestock and the suspects were being interrogated prior to sending them to court.
