JEDDAH — An Egyptian expatriate living in Bahra found his pickup truck nine hours after he reported it stolen on the highway between Jeddah and Makkah. The victim said he found his car missing early Tuesday morning when he walked out of his house. He reported the car stolen to police only to find it nine hours later abandoned in a location not far away from his house. He said that he found equipment missing from the car. Police said it was most likely that those responsible were young people stealing cars to joyride and then stealing whatever they could before abandoning the car. Officers are still investigating the case.
