RANIYA, Makkah — A truck's entire load was burned when it caught fire on the road between Wadi Al-Dawasir and Raniya in Makkah Province, near the village of Al-Dar Al-Baydah on Satuday. Makkah Civil Defense did not specify what the truck was carrying but said the driver got out unhurt and neither the engine nor the body of the vehicle sustained any damage. The Civil Defense said while driving on the road, the driver saw fire breaking out in the goods so he stopped the truck and used his mobile phone to call the Civil Defense in Raniya. There is no Civil Defense department in Al-Dar Al-Baydah, even though residents have been asking for one.
