MANAMA – Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) on Monday signed two agreements worth $58 million with the government of Bahrain. Under the agreement, the Fund will give the amount as part of a $2.5 billion grant, under the Gulf Development Program, to implement two health projects in Bahrain. Yousuf Al-Bassam, deputy chairman and managing director of the Fund, and Bahrain's Finance Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khalifa signed the agreements. The grant will be used to establish a 60-bed dialysis center, costing $21 million, and a 100-bed health care center at a cost of $37 million.
