More hotels use LG TV sets

RIYADH — LG's commercial business sector in the Kingdom has been developed actively and significantly in the Saudi market, especially in the hotel industry.
The company has specially designed TVs for hotels “with the hospitality application in mind.”
These display devices offer attractive features, straightforward functions for a more pleasant guest experience, it said in a press statement on Thursday.
In 2013, LG was able to install TV in 72 percent of five-star hotels in the Kingdom.
Among these hotels are Kempenski Rafal Tower, Intercontinental Dar Al-Tawhid, Four Seasons Riyadh, Le Meridien AlKhobar, Marriott Makkah, Holiday Inn Meydan, ITCC Crown Plaza, Intercontinental Al Khobar, Holiday Inn Najran, Marriott Riyadh, NOBU Hotel, Hilton Jeddah, among others.
The hotels were supplied with LG Connected HTVs “Built-In STB Hotel TV” and the fully interactive HTV's “STB Fully Compatibility” which are compatible with most of the IPTV system vendors “Integrators.”
This provides the staff the ability to have a full-control of the HTV in order to maintain the hotel policy in various ways and to save on the overhead cost of operation.
In a bid to consolidate this, LG is organizing on a Summit for Hoteliers to check new hospitality trends in more than one field like the field of technology.
The gathering will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh and will feature the launch of the new series of commercial display products and the new business in Saudi Arabia like LED lighting, solar panels and water membrane.
Commenting on the forthcoming event, Deuk Soo Ahn, President of LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, said: “LED display products from LG are the smart business solutions for commercial display monitors and hotel TVs.
“Hoteliers will find display devices that put them on the track to success. Whether they're used to disseminating information, entertain, or showcase the property, hotel TV systems allow hoteliers to communicate with their guests in highly visual and engaging ways.
“In addition, our hotel TVs can be enhanced with a wide range of hardware, software and digital products, which can help hoteliers, create more engaging communications.”
