QURAYYAT — An expatriate is under investigation after allegedly threatening to kill an accountant if the latter exposed his money embezzlement to their employer, according to Al-Jouf Police spokesman Col. Turki Al-Muwaishir. The expatriate attacked the accountant and threatened him with a knife if he reported the SR16,000 missing from the company's accounts. The accountant ran away from the expatriate's house and reported him to the police. He also received several cuts in his body from the attack. During investigations, the expatriate confessed that he threatened his colleague. He told investigators that he offered the accountant a sum of money as a bribe to turn a blind eye to the embezzled money but the accountant refused and escaped from the house.
