JEDDAH — Reza Food Services Co. ltd., exclusive McDonald's franchisee for Western and Southern regions of the Kingdom, and the organizer of the McDonald's & Tokyo Games Basketball Championship is gearing up for this year's championship, which will take place here at the Sheraton Hotel on March 7-8. The championship, organized for third year in a row, will be sponsored by McDonald's, Tokyo Games and Lifestylez which joined the list of sponsors this year. With two previous successful seasons, the tournament is expected to receive wide participation and heavy attendance from the sports community, with the emergence of promising new talent. The organizers are keen on offering such sports initiatives that gather young people together in line with McDonald's vision, to spread the culture of sports and a balanced life to the youth. This year, the championship has won the support and supervision of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), which will enable further support and advancement to local basketball talents, providing the winner with the opportunity to participate and compete at an International FIBA competition in China.
