Syeda Amtul Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The Consulate General of Brunei organized a reception at the Park Hyatt Hotel here on Sunday to mark the country's 30th National Day. The Minister Plenipotentiary Jamal Balkheyour, Head of the Diplomatic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia-Makkah Al Mukarrama branch was the chief guest at the event. Brunei Darussalam's Ambassador Dato Paduka Haji Abdulmokti Bin Haji Muhammad Daud was also present on the occasion. Government officials, diplomats from various countries along with their families and members of the Brunei community attended the event, which started with the playing of the national anthems of Brunei Darussalam and Saudi Arabia. Later a video clip presentation featuring the development master plan of the capital of Brunei “Bandar Seri Begawan” was screened. Consul General and Ambassador of Brunei along with Jamal Balkheyour and Ambassador Saleh Attiyah, the dean of diplomatic corps cut the ceremonial cake.
