JAZAN – Power of Deccan beat Super Asia by 34 runs to win the opening match of the MoneyGram's Cricket Ke Badshah (CKB) organized by Jazan Region Cricket Association (JRCA) under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) here. JRCA chairman Liaqat Hussain played a vital role in reviving the association with a new set-up in the Kingdom's Southern Region. SCC officials Sadiqul Islam and Hamid Afandi traveled from Jeddah for the opening match. A seminar on umpiring was conducted for the players and others. Power of Deccan, batting first, scored 108 runs. Nadeem (25) and Abid (23) were the notable scorers. Zeeshan and Imran grabbed 3 wickets each, while Basit took 2. Super Asia, in reply, was bowled out for 74 with only Imran (18) and Nadim (14) among the runs. Power of Deccan's Nadeem chipped in with 4-8 runs as Joji took 2 wickets. — SG
