Abdullah Al-Qahtani Okaz/Saudi Gazette ABHA – The Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development (PMFHD) has launched a project to help women prisoners lead a normal life. The foundation's secretary-general Dr. Eisa Al-Ansari said the project would also be implemented in Al-Amal rehabilitation centers. The project was implemented successfully in the Eastern Province over the past three years and will be expanded to include all areas of the Kingdom, he said. "The project will also support small businesses and has successfully supported 20 such projects for women prisoners who have completed their sentences and for patients of Al-Amal hospitals who have been discharged," he said. In addition, PMFHD will also launch a project to refurbish 100 houses around the Kingdom. It has signed an agreement with Abha's Al-Bir charitable society to assist the community through different programs. Al-Bir secretary-general Mohammad Fahhas said the agreement would facilitate the provision of different social services for the community and also lead to research on low-cost housing, development of women and training young people. The projects will also lead to better care for special needs patients, he said.
