JEDDAH — Two Bangladeshis were killed and six others injured in a fire that swept through a three-story residential building in Jamea district of south Jeddah on Friday. The injured included five Yemenis and a Civil Defense firefighter. Preliminary investigations showed a gas cylinder explosion on the second floor of the building triggered the fire. Col. Saeed Sarhan, Civil Defense spokesman in the Makkah region, said eight rescue teams put out the blaze and rescued residents trapped inside the building. The injured were transported to King Abdulaziz Hospital in Mahjar district.
