AFIF — A Saudi national was killed and four others were seriously injured in a car accident on the Afif-Mahd Road on Saturday. Red Crescent paramedics who rushed to the site provided first aid to the injured victims and transported them to Afif General Hospital. Traffic police were still investigating the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, a two-car collision resulted in the death of a citizen on Wadi Bin Hashbal Road in Khamis Mushayt. Six of his family members were injured in the accident. The Saudi in his 60s was driving one of the cars during a family trip and hit another car carrying his relatives. Three people in the second car sustained serious injuries. Red Crescent spokesman Ahmad Aseeri said police and paramedics attended the site, provided first aid and transported the victims to hospitals. He said crowds of people who gathered around the accident scene hindered rescue efforts.
