JEDDAH — My Care Hala thrashed Crown Steel by 56 runs, while Dopco Stars had the last laugh against Al-Saudi-XI here recently to set up their Hyundai Naghi Premier Tournament final. My Care Hala opted to bat against Crown Steel and started well, but soon thereafter starting losing wickets at regular intervals to be 102-5 with Qamar Abbas making 40. Tariq Mehmood hammered an unbeaten 55 in 27 balls (4 fours and 3 sixes) as he added 70 with Mohammed Amjed (37) to take the total to 189-8. Ijaz Sagheer Mitha took 2-19, Zaheer Sulehri 2-33, Qaiser Iqbal 1-32 and Abuhuraira 1-43. Crown Steel, in reply, lost wickets at regular intervals and struggled to reach 133-9 to lose by 56 runs. Qaiser Iqbal made 41 and Tasleem 20. Tariq Mehmood, exhibiting fine all-round performance, took 3-25, while Faheem scalped 3-6, Jamil 2-28 and Hussain Bhatti 1-20. In the other semifinal Al-Saudi-XI posted 161 against Dopco Stars. Javed Iqbal hit 74 (9 fours and 2 sixes), while Amjed added 18 and Mazher Abbasi 37. Asim took 1-4, Shoaib Ali 1-37 and Waheed 1-29. Dopco Stars achieved the target (165) for the loss of one wicket. Skipper Shahbaz blasted unbeaten 80 in 37 balls with 6 sixes and 6 fours, while Maqsood remained unbeaten on 53 with 3 fours and 5 sixes. The two added 133 runs in 57 balls. Earlier, Nadeem scored 29. Mazher Abbasi took 1-44. Moneygram Cricket Ke Badshah Hala Friends beat Pepsi Deccan Knights in the only match that took place in the Moneygram CKB T20 Premier Division. The tournament is being played all over the Kingdom in partnership with Saudi Cricket Centre. The Jeddah leg is being managed by WPCA. Hala Friends plundered 187-3. Anis Malik hit 70 in 36 balls with 2 sixes and 9 fours, while Abdullah Essa scored 39 as the two added 119 in 68 balls. Wajahat Shah remained unbeaten on 37. Shoaib took 2-16 and Aleem 1-44. Pepsi Deccan Knights fell short by 8 runs as they reached 179-7. Mazher hit 49, Ather 29 and Aleem 33, while Akber was run out for 25. Ali claimed 3-31 and Wajahat Shah 3-47.
