LULU Hypermarket, Saudi Arabia is all set to celebrate “Sea Food Fest 2013” under the patronage of Department of Marine Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture. The five-day long fest, starting on Dec. 10, will showcase the abundance of sea in a miniature model. Hussain Hiji Nadery, Director General, Department of Marine Fisheries, Saudi Arabia will be the chief guest to inaugurate the Sea Food Fest campaign. The inauguration will be held on Dec.11 (Wednesday) at 5:30 p.m. The prime focus of the Sea Food Fest is to portray the abundance of Saudi coast with variety of fishes from Jazan, Dammam and Jeddah. Marine Fisheries Department has made all the arrangements to ensure the availability of the local fish in its freshness. Given the cosmopolitan clientele and culture of LuLu, the Sea Food Fest will broaden its horizon to exhibit the fresh marine imports like fresh Norwegian salmon, smoked Salmon, Italian mixed sea food, Egyptian tilapias, Atlantic mackerel, Rainbow trout, crab, mussel & squids. A special corner for shrimps & lobsters is also arranged. Import ranges from different part of the world like oyster, cod fillet, sea brass, Canadian lobster, black sea bream will create an ambience of global ocean resources gathering at one point. Customers will also witness live shrimps, lobster, crabmeat roll, fish sauces & other special varieties. All imported and local fishes are available at competitive rates, said Ashraf Thalapady, deputy General Manager, LuLu Hypermarket. An active complimentary participation from the other sections of the hypermarket will spice up the fest. Majority of the hot food section production will be allocated to seafood during these days. An incredible variety of fish & chips, grilled fish & fish salads are expected. Bakery section is to contribute by preparing fish pizzas, fish bun, fish puffs and a lot more. “A healthy diet always contains fish, a protein food with fewer calories than other meat sources. It's also nature's most versatile food. One can steam, grill, poach and curry fish.
