RIYADH – LuLu Hypermarket, Saudi Arabia kicked off Wednesday its “Flavours of India” 2013 promo drive.
The seven-day event, which showcases a variety of products from India, is aimed at portraying LuLu Hypermarkets as a unique shopping experience for its customers.
Hamid Ali Rao, Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia, cut the ceremonial ribbon during the inauguration held at 11:00 a.m. at LuLu Hypermarkets, Murabba, Riyadh.
The event will prove the length to which LuLu goes to serve its customers no matter whatever their nationality, the company said in a statement Wednesday. “This will mainly showcase the diversity of Indian and its rich culture,” it said.
Given the cosmopolitan clientele and culture of LuLu, ‘Flavours of India” Campaign will broaden its horizon to exhibit the fresh import meat from India like the Indian mutton, beef, veal, buffalo meat, variety of Indian fishes like Karimean, White Pomfret, Rohu fish, fresh Tiger prawns and many more. Special offers and prices on Indian products are available during the festival which will ends on Jan. 29.
The first two days will be Biryani Fest, followed by Chat Fest, Sweet Fest, Malabar Fest & Kebab Fest. The Flavours of India Week also has a wide variety of delicious Indian cuisine to take home, said Shafeek Rahman, General Manager, LuLu Hypermarkets, Central Region.
“As part of the event, there will be ‘buy 2 get 1 free' promotion on exotic ranges of sarees and churidars in our department store and it will continue until Feb. 3. A special pavilion called Indian Bazaar showcasing Indian brands and products has been arranged for customers during this period. There will be a photo exhibition as well by K.N. Wasif, a well-known news photographer from India on India's architectural heritage,” he noted.
Lulu outlets in Riyadh and Al-Khobar would be decorated with huge and colorful replicas of the famous landmarks and icons associated in India during the festival. — SG
