DAMMAM — Malarvadi Balasangam, one of the largest Indian based children community wing, honored 85 students who achieved top merits during recent Malarvadi Children's Festival (Balolsavam) held in the Eastern Province at the Dammam paragon auditorium. The event was inaugurated by Mammu Master, Principal of Al Muna International School, Dammam. During his inaugural speech, Mammu Master appreciated the Malarvadi organizers for conducting various types of extra-curricular activities, competitions and sports events to develop children's talent. Dr. E.K. Mohammed Shaffe, International Indian School principal, was the chief guest at the program. During his speech he emphasized the importance of participation of students in such competitions as it improves and builds children's personality and enhances their aptitude toward righteousness. According to organizers, the program is organized every year for all Keralites' kids under the age group of 4 to 12 irrespective of religious differences. The objective behind organizing the children's' group is to promote their talents and to blend and mobilize the younger generation and motivate their talents for building a model society. Sajid Arattupuzha, P.A.M.Haris, organizing committee vice chairman Joseph Kalathipprambil, Jayaraj Thekkil, Ruby Joseph, Shiyas.M, Safa Medical Center Managing Director Muhammed Kutty Kodur distributed trophies and certificates to the toppers. C.P. Mustafa Malarvadi, Dammam zone president, presided over the function. Rauf Chavakkad and Naser Alappuzha regaled the crowd with their song. Malarvadi chief patron K.M. Basheer introduced Malaravdi's various programs to better educate the young generation by educating in a friendly way. Saleem Babu, Thasni Yaser, K.A. Shanavas, Thahir Chelannoor, Nasser organized the event. Hami Yaser read a few verses from the Qur'an. Program coordinator Subair Pullaloor welcomed the audience and M.P Basheer gave the vote of thanks. — SG
