Change”, a diary for Indian expat school children prepared by senior resource persons of ‘Malarvadi Balasangam', was launched in the Eastern Province, Friday, at the Paragon restaurant auditorium. International Indian School Dammam (IISD) principal, Dr. E.K. Mohammed Shaffe, gave away the first copy of the “i-Change” diary to Hanan Abdul Salam a fourth-grade student of IISD. Chief patron K.M. Basheer Malarvadi said the diary is not an “ordinary diary for students as it aims to accomplish educational, intellectual, logical, socio-cultural and moral development of children.” “This year ‘Malarvadi Balasangam' is concentrating to build children's personality development through extracurricular activities and this diary will definitely help the student to achieve these goals,” he added. “This diary will give a clear idea for each student on how to score well in their examinations as well as guide the student on how to become a good person,” said principal Shaffe. More than 300 students and parents attended the launching ceremony. Dr. Dona, Prabha Rajeev, Akbar Vaniyamblam spoke during the occasion. Malarvadi EP co-ordinator, Joshi Basha, welcomed the audience and Shabeer Chathamangalam gave the vote of thanks. Various cultural programs were staged by Malarvadi member children.
