With regard to the report “Probe begins into Riyadh clashes” (Nov. 11), I do not know what ignited the clashes and caused people to start rioting but there is really no excuse for violence as violence is never the solution to any dispute. I think the rioters have lost all credibility and what they have done reflects badly on all expatriate workers in Saudi Arabia. You have no right to stay in a country if you are an illegal, so pack up and leave peacefully. Bravo, Online response II. Saudi Arabia and its people are peace-loving. Immediate action should be taken against those who disturb the peace. We should follow the rules and regulations and relevant Saudi laws. Saudis and expatriates are brothers. Hassan, Online response III. What happened in Riyadh is sad. We are all expats here and must follow and abide by the laws of the Kingdom. Nobody has the right to take the law into their own hands. The Saudi government and the nation's security forces have done a great job in cleaning up the mess of illegal workers which has existed for so many years. We appreciate their efforts. The crackdown is aimed at all illegal expats irrespective of nationality, so why is it that a particular expatriate community in Manfouah engaged in rioting which required the intervention of security forces? These illegal expats should leave the Kingdom forever. Arif H., Online response
