PHILADELPHIA — Martin Brodeur stopped 22 shots, and Adam Henrique and Cam Janssen each scored goals to lead the New Jersey Devils to a 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers Thursday night. Jaromir Jagr added an empty-netter with 1.3 seconds left. The Flyers beat the Devils 1-0 Saturday in New Jersey. Henrique's first-period goal would have been enough to stand in this one. Brodeur was never seriously challenged against the NHL's weakest offense and posted his 122nd career shutout. The Flyers have scored two goals in their last four games and have twice been shutout over that span. The anemic Devils haven't been much better. They were blanked in their last two games, snapping the scoreless drought on Henrique's goal only 1:57 into the game. Janssen scored in the third period. Hurricanes 1, Islanders 0 Right wing Radek Dvorak scored in the first period and goalie Justin Peters made the goal stand up as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New York Islanders 1-0 at PNC Arena. It was the first shutout of the season for the Hurricanes. Peters made 21 saves for his third career shutout. Both teams now have 6-7-3 records. Rangers 4, Blue Jackets 2 Left for dead after a horrible start to the season, the New York Rangers are now very much alive after Carl Hagelin scored two goals and captain Ryan Callahan and Ryan McDonagh each had a goal and an assist, leading the Rangers to a 4-2 win over struggling Columbus. Less than 24 hours after routing Pittsburgh at home, the Rangers won their third straight road game and the fifth of six overall to be 8-8-0. The Blue Jackets (5-10-0) got goals from defensemen Fedor Tyutin and Ryan Murray while losing their fifth straight game. Bruins 4, Panthers 1 Goaltender Tuukka Rask came within 5:35 of his second shutout of the season and the Boston Bruins defeated the Florida Panthers 4-1. Center David Krejci, left winger Brad Marchand, defenseman Torey Krug and right winger Reilly Smith scored for the Bruins (9-5-1), who scored three times in the third period and won for only the second time in their last six games. The Panthers (3-9-4) lost their seventh straight. Elsewhere it was: Senators 4, Canadiens 1; Capitals 3, Wild 2 (SO); Lightning 4, Oilers 2; Stars 4, Red Wings 3 (OT); Blues 3, Flames 2; Kings 2, Sabres 0; Canucks 4, Sharks 2. — Agencies
