ABHA – Eleven girls studying at King Khaled University were injured when a minibus carrying them overturned in Abha on Tuesday morning. The driver of the vehicle was also injured in the accident that took place at the intersection of Al-Arbaeen Street and King Abdullah Road. Saeed Al-Nugair, spokesman of Asir Health Department, said that the girls were admitted to the emergency section of Asir Central Hospital. He said that the condition of all girls is stable and 10 students and the driver, who all sustained moderate injuries, are expected to be discharged soon. One girl will stay in the hospital for some more time, he said. The Saudi Red Crescent Authority officials said that they had received information at 7.22 a.m. about the accident involving students. The accident occurred while the students were on their way to the university.
