DAMMAM — The International Indian School, Dammam will hold a two-day Annual Educational Exhibition (EduEX 2013) Nov. 9-10 at its boys section campus. The official logo of this educational fair was released by Abdulla Manjeri, convener of the academic subcommittee and member of the school managing committee, at a ceremony. Dr. E.K. Mohammed Shaffe, principal, presided over the function. Lt. Col. J.A. Rocque, principal of the girls section; Alamgeer Islam, vice principal (boys section); Mariyu Sageer, head of the boys middle school; Mohammed Ismail, head of the upper primary boys section; Nazeer Maniyamkulam, chief librarian; and other section heads Dhanalaxmi Ramanujam, Tasneem Munir Ahmed, Memoona Tabassum, Sadeqa Wahid, Mehnaz Fareed and Najma Nakhat were present at the event. Sadiq Reyaz of Class VIII who designed the logo explained the significance and introduced the design to the audience. The two-day event is organized by the boys middle school and upper primary boys sections. The expo will be a mega event with more than 1,000 exhibits presented by around 600 participants. The displays will include working models and live experiments covering all major subject areas like science and technology, IT and computer science, mathematics, social sciences and humanities, languages and literatures, commerce and management, biology and biotechnology and SUPW and arts. A special stall will depict Saudi Arabian culture and Arabic/Islamic Studies. Several interesting exhibits on the ecosystem and artificial intelligence, among others, will be special attractions of the show. Thirunavukkarsu, chairman of the managing committee, will be chief patron of the event. An organizing committee headed by Shaffe is managing the event. Various subcommittees are coordinating the event section-wise.
