The Upper Primary Boys' Section held a talent fest dedicated to mothers on Jan. 29. The Class V Boys staged a variety of programs to entertain and show love and respect to their mothers. The boys' versatile talents shone through in their multilinguistic solo and group songs, dance numbers, poetry recitation and fancy costumes depicting characters from popular stories. Reminiscences by the captain of the section touched many, as did a slideshow presentation titled “Mothers' Love and Affection.” The exhibition of various items showcased the boys' artistic sense in the form of activities like Socially Useful Productive work (SUPW), co-curricular activity (CCA) and EduEX, which the spectators appreciated much. The school counselor, held an informative and enlightening session on the role of mothers in bringing out effectiveness in children. Headmaster Mohammed Ismail welcomed the guests led by Sufiya M. Shaffe. Also present were Principal Dr. E K Mohammed Shaffe, Vice Principal Alamgir Islam, Controller of Examination Mehnaz Farid, section heads, Chief Librarian Nazeer Maniyamkulam and Registrar Gangesh Tewari. Noor Fatima proposed the vote of thanks while Najmunissa and Tanveer compered the program. Anuradha and Sudha and Shabnum rendered melodious ghazals from Urdu poetry. __
