One arrested for shooting at police officer

ABHA — Abha police arrested a Saudi in his 20s accused of shooting at a police officer accompanying Commission for the Promotion of Virtues and Prevention of Vice (Haia) staff raiding a liquor den. The officer was shot in the face and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery. The officer is reported to be in stable condition. Police are still investigating the incident.
