Finally justice prevailed in India. The country's judicial system is still alive and rocking. The verdict in the Nirbhaya Delhi gang rape and murder is the rarest of rare cases in which a court has delivered the much awaited and landmark verdict within a short period of time, convicting all the four accused. One of the accused committed suicide while the sixth offender, a juvenile, was sentenced to three years in a remand home. The verdict will go a long way in restoring the confidence of the common man in the rule of law in India. Let us hope this verdict will bring justice to the victim's parents. The death sentence meted to the four accused has sent a strong message to anyone not to commit such a crime in Indian soil in the future. The judgment is proof of India's credentials as a country that has committed itself to the rule of law. My confidence and respect in our judicial system is enhanced. As a citizen of India, I am proud of our judiciary. It is absolutely true that the law will catch the culprits and be brought to the bar of justice. Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, Jeddah
