Around 150 families comprising Aligs and non-Aligs attended the event to socialize in each other's company and support the alma mater. AMU had also invited heads of other social groups and educational institutes here. The guests were warmly welcomed by executive management group of AMU alumni and its core committee members. After dinner was served, the guests were invited by general secretary of AMU alumni Taqi Uddin Mir to enjoy a mini Mushaira organized for the occasion. The President of AMUOBA, Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Badshah, welcomed and thanked all the guests for attending the function with great fervor and enthusiasm. Mir Firasat Khusroo compered the Mushaira. He also entertained the guests when he invited the poets in an interesting and witty manner. The poets put their best foot forward and enthralled the guests with their wonderful compositions. The Mushaira was a great success as everyone enjoyed listening to the poets' renditions. The vote of thanks was delivered by vice president Mohammad Nasim Akhtar. — SG
