RIYADH — Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association Riyadh (AMUOBA) has elected six executive members while appointing Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Badshah as president. Among the newly elected office bearers for the year 2013-2015 is Mohammed Nasim Akthar, Vice President, while Taqiuddin Mir is elected as General Secretary. Newly elected body took charge from the outgoing office bearers in a formal installation ceremony at Mashal Istehrah. Mohammad Zaigham Khan conducted the program. Outgoing President Shamsuddin Shams presented the report card of the association activities during his tenure. Outgoing general secretary Salman Khalid presented the Power Point presentation. President Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Badshah greeted one and all and wished them Ramadan Kareem. He thanked the core community while announcing that AMU VC will visit Riyadh shortly. Shams presented bouquet to the chief guest Prof. Habibur Rahman, while Badshah presented a memento to the chief guest. The chief guest said that AMU has produced an organized system of education and stressed Muslims need good and modern education. He added that there is a lot of potential and opportunity in the education sector in India. He said in India though lots of educational institutions exist, only a few give quality education. Prof. Habibur Rahman said excellence is the key to success and meritorious students should be given the opportunity to excel. He thanked AMUOBA for inviting him. Mohammed Quaiser, President, Tanzeem Hum Hindustani, congratulated the newly elected office bearers of AMUOBA and extended all possible cooperation from THH. Heads of various social and cultural organizations were present. Zaigham Khan proposed vote of thanks. — SG
