The article "Expat workers are nation's guests" (Sep. 14) points out that the bad treatment of expatriates by Saudi citizens represents the actions of a minority of the population who do not represent the nation's morals and values. This may be true, but what happens when expatriates report such incidents of bad treatment to the concerned authorities? We are all aware of incidents like the beating of expatriates in the Passport Department by officers in uniform and the rude behavior and bad treatment of expatriates by immigration staff at the Kingdom's airports. I believe that the law must not distinguish between expatriates and citizens. Accountability is the solution. Omer Al Jabbari, Online reponse
