I am writing with regard to the article "Experts: Expat control of retail market raising unemployment" (July 31). Cover-up businesses are like a cancer in our society. Expatriates conduct business using the names of citizens and earn all the benefits. Once they grow old, their children take over the businesses and this process goes on for generations. This disease must be removed. We have recently read the news of an expatriate driver who was found with a huge amount of money in his account, and given his profession, it was not possible that he could have legally accumulated this much money. Anonymous, Online response II. I disagree with the statement in the article: "Illegal foreign workers in the retail market are depriving nationals of around 1 million job opportunities". If a Saudi national wants a job, he has but to ask for it. The problem is that most of them do not want to perform "menial" jobs. Hence, expatriate recruitment will always remain high.
