RIYADH — The Ministry of Health has ordered the closure of 34 healthcare facilities and 11 drug stores during the last two Islamic months (July 9 through Sept. 6) for various violations, Dr. Ali Al-Zawawi, assistant deputy health minister for the affairs of the private health sector, said here on Monday. During the same period, he said, the ministry also registered cases against 172 private healthcare facilities and 156 drug stores for violating various Health Ministry rules. The ministry also registered cases against 130 healthcare professionals for violation of healthcare laws. Al-Zawawi stressed that the ministry would continue its campaign against violations through its inspection teams in different parts of the Kingdom. "We have allocated “Citizens Voice” link at the MOH portal and a telephone number (011-2124196) to receive violation reports. We expect public, whether citizens or residents, to be positive and cooperate in reporting any violation," he said. The minister also emphasized that through this cooperation, the ministry would be able to provide better healthcare services.
