Housemaid stabs employer, flees

MADINAH — Police arrested an Ethiopian maid for allegedly stabbing her 80-year-old sponsor and fleeing the house, Al-Hayat newspaper reported. The victim's son said the maid did not show any signs of violence previously. He came to visit his mother and found her lying in blood. The woman was taken to hospital for treatment, and the police were notified of the incident. Madinah police spokesman Col. Fahd Al-Ghannam said the maid was arrested and she was referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution (BIP).
