Promethean, a global leader in interactive learning technology, has provided 50 of its most up to date high-tech classrooms to the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu at a cost of SR800,000. The Royal Commission is the first user of this highly sophisticated classroom system in the Kingdom. Majeed Sharaf, Promethean VP in the Middle East, said: “This is Promethean's second deal with the Royal Commission, which has previously instituted Promethean Interactive systems in two hundred classrooms. This new order will equip well over 250 classrooms. Also the technology, for both boys and girls schools, is fully Arabic enabled.” In addition to providing the technology, Promethean provides extensive teacher training programs to enable teachers also to keep apace with this digital age and work with the interactive classroom technology so as to get the full benefit from it. The Royal Commission now has six certified teachers who have attended training sessions in the UK.
