Houda Mzioudet TUNIS – Two men, said to be Libyans, have been arrested in Tunisia in connection with the death of a woman in suspicious circumstances. The woman died early Saturday morning in the Tunisian town of Sousse, after apparently falling from the third floor of a block of flats, according to Tunisian radio station Jawhara FM. The victim, who was reportedly wearing a blonde wig, was found lying on the ground outside the flats at around 9 a.m. Sunday morning. A witness said she had been badly beaten and was covered in bruises and wounds. The emergency services were called and the woman was taken to a nearby hospital. She died a few hours later from an internal haemorrhage. A forensic examination of the woman's body indicated that the woman had been murdered, according to Jawhara FM. Before the incident, neighbours reportedly heard screams coming from a flat on the third floor. They said a woman was heard shouting: “Leave me alone, what did I do to you?” One man handed himself in to the police and another was arrested near the crime scene. A Sousse resident told the Libya Herald that some Libyans in the Khezama Sousse area where the incident took place have had their cars vandalised in retaliation for the killing.
