A housemaid of Asian nationality is in serious condition in Al-Hofouf Hospital after she fractured her skull while descending from the second floor of her employer's home in an apparent attempt to flee. The woman reportedly made a rope from sheets that tore as she climbed down, leading to her falling on to the roof of a first floor room. The woman's screams alerted the family and she was taken to hospital where she is reportedly suffering from a severely fractured skull and injuries to both hands. Al-Ahsa Police said they have opened an investigation into the incident.
